OROS Noise and Vibration

Instruments for Your Applications: The OROS 3-series analyzers are flexible and comprehensive enough to tackle your measurements, whatever the application. These instruments overcome most if not all of the measurement obstacles with their broad frequency span from milliHertz to 40 kHz and the 140 dB dynamic range. Due to these attributes, OROS 3-Series analyzers are the intelligent choice for all your NVH activities.

OROS MODAL 2
Modal analysis is a widely used technique for understanding structural behavior and for validating mechanical designs and simulating results. OROS offers OROS Modal 2; an easy and powerful solution to process a comprehensive modal analysis. This solution is adapted to many cases thanks to these 3 modules dedicated to the main structural analysis techniques: Operating Deflection Shape, Experimental Modal Analysis, and Operational Modal Analysis.

Advanced Swept Sine (A2S)
The Advanced Swept Sine Solution (A2S) is part of the NVSolutions® proposed by OROS for Noise and Vibration applications. Advanced Swept Sine is a measuring instrument that allows to determine Transfer Function or Frequency Response Function that are commonly used in various industries for Servo control, Structure, Acoustics, Electronics or Accelerometers calibration.

BALANCING
The Balancing Solution is part of the family of solutions proposed by OROS for Rotating Applications. With the OROS Balancing Solution, based a on task-oriented user interface, the Balancing process can be made in a simple and precise way on rotating machinery on 1 or 2 planes. The technique is based on Synchronous Order tracking allowing thus a precise phase averaging even if the rotating speed is not perfectly stationary. With this technique, the number of machine starts is reduced as for example only 2 starts are necessary for a one plane Balancing. When a Balancing test has been achieved, the unbalance correction can be readjusted periodically without any further test thanks to the trim balance method.

FFT PLUG-IN ANALYZER
Most of the vibration phenomena have to be analyzed in the spectral domain in order to get conclusive analyses. The FFT Plug-in provides spectral analysis associated with some time domain parameters. This software option offers a large set of results (up to 42) featured by the multiple available modes. FFT plug-in allows fast and accurate analysis for general purpose vibrations plus some dedicated modes.

OCTAVE PLUG-IN ANALYZER
Acoustic signatures and investigation require the appropriate analysis methods. The 1/n Octave plug-in computes levels from constant percentage band filtering, complying with IEC 1260 standard. Every parameter can be adjusted making a highly flexible acoustic analyzer. All channels can be analyzed real-time by the DSPs up to 20 kHz.

SYNCHRONOUS ORDER ANALYSIS (SOA)
Order analysis and tracking make the most sense when the rotor speed is varying. Getting correct results from run-up/down requires specific signal processing techniques. The SOA plug-in takes benefit of the DSP powered OROS 3-Series analyzers to provide the best order analysis. Signal is resampled in function of the precise tachometer and then angular domain blocks are converted to the order domain. Using order spectra as input data, the plug-in extracts complex orders (phase and amplitude) from fast run-up/down. The setup of SOA does not require an experienced user; you will get the right results immediately.

OVERALL ACOUSTIC LEVEL METER (OVA)
With an OROS 3-Series you get a multi-channel analyzer, so, why not turn your unit into a true multi-channel sound level meter. The OVA plug-in extends the analyzer capabilities to a comprehensive acoustic measurement system. The OVA complies with the latest standards such as IEC 60-672. It runs 3 RMS and a peak detector on each input. The detectors feature time filtering and weighting. The user selectable 3rd order 10 Hz high pass input filter removes unwanted low freq components. Overall levels can be tracked during days with the deep profiles memory.

RECORDER
Recording raw signals is the best way to keep a comprehensive trace of a measurement. OROS 3-Series offer as standard a recorder and a player plug-ins that provides flexible recording services. As the recording function is integrated, operations are greatly simplified. Whatever the analysis mode used, recording functionalities are easy to achieve. Backup of a real-time analysis like tests are now a straightforward possibility. Using the advanced triggering toolset, the recorder can reject unwanted upstream data.

SOUND INTENSITY
The Sound Intensity Solution is part of the NVSolutions® proposed by OROS for Acoustic applications. Sound Intensity is a flexible experimental technique that allows you to obtain a large number of information on the sound pattern emitted from a source such as Sound Power or Noise Source localization.

SOUND POWER
The Sound Power Solution is part of the family of solutions proposed by OROS for Acoustic applications. This Solution allows you to measure Sound Power based on the measurement of sound pressure levels at microphone positions around a source under test. Thus, the Sound Power Solution is complementary of the Sound Intensity Solution that is based on the measurement of the sound intensity as recommended by ISO 9614. Using the OROS Solution, based on a task dedicated interface that guides the user step by step, Sound Power is measured in an easy and efficient way. Once the initial set-up of the microphone test bench has been organized, the measurement can be repeated day after day with no special expertise required.

Sound Quality Meter
OROS Sound Quality Meter is a dedicated solution for calculating psycho-acoustics metrics for Sound Quality studies. A signal file can be simply loaded. The first initial step is to listen to the signal that has been recorded. The second stage is to select the required parameters and to compute them.
