The right data, at the right time, every time

One of the key decisions in the design process is selecting the optimum material for the design. Should we use steel, aluminum, or powdered metal for a component? What are the fatigue properties of the material at elevated temperature? How can the data be loaded into the analysis process reliably? How can a new team member learn from the experience of others? In a fast moving, time pressured environment, finding the design parameters for the material of choice may take second place to using an already known material. And that`s an unacceptable and unnecessary compromise.

ICE-flow provides timely access to the latest materials information over the Internet from a central location. Users can browse through files of materials, and upload data for more reliable design analyses and material choice.

More than just a regular database

Of course, ICE-flow can handle any type of material (metals, plastics, polymers, etc.); cope with any material property (tensile, impact, S-N fatigue, E-N fatigue, high temp fatigue, fracture mechanics, creep, wear… ); deal with raw data and parametric data and in any order; handle photographic results (microstructure, fractographs, and so on); include manufacturer`s information; handle data upload from multiple labs - as well as store reports. The big differentiator is its scope and flexibility - and the fact that it was developed by nCode, a company with years of experience in materials testing, fatigue analysis and engineering.
